Trade Targets and Sell Candidates Before the Deadline
Fantasy trade targets to buy (Chase Brown, Tuten, Carnell Tate, Breece Hall) and sell (Garrett Wilson, McConkey, Pollard) before the NFL trade deadline.
The pitch: You're not buying last week's points. You're buying the next six weeks of opportunity. And you're not selling a bad player, you're selling a price.
The real NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET (Covers), so some of these situations could flip overnight.
Buy
Chase Brown, RB, Bengals. Since the bye: a 73% snap share, the most targets among running backs, and 13th in expected fantasy points per game. A 20-yard TD catch got wiped out by a hold last week (NBC Sports). The work is there. Buy from the annoyed manager.
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars. He's questionable Thursday after missing every practice, so watch the ankle first. But he's averaging nearly 18 touches a game and ranks fourth in missed tackles forced (FantasyPros). An injury tag is your discount.
Carnell Tate, WR, Titans. On bye this week, fourth in air yards share, and Titans receivers get the easiest schedule in the league from Weeks 10 through 14 (NBC Sports).
Breece Hall, RB, Jets. Trending toward a return after five missed games (ESPN). FantasyPros expects him to be the 1A in roughly a 60/40 split (FantasyPros). NBC Sports thinks Braelon Allen may keep early downs (NBC Sports), so buy at a discount, not full price.
Sell
Garrett Wilson, WR, Jets. A top-20 receiver in only two of his last five, now in the concussion protocol, with the fifth-hardest remaining schedule (NBC Sports). The name still sells.
Ladd McConkey, WR, Chargers. Fresh off his second-best game, with the second-toughest remaining receiver schedule. Get off the ride now.
Tony Pollard, RB, Titans. Five TDs in two games looks like touchdown luck to FantasyPros, and Tyjae Spears should be back soon. Sell the spike.
The coin flip
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers. NBC says sell after two quiet weeks. FantasyPros says buy the volume: double-digit targets in three of seven games. If you're 6-2 and need a floor, sell. If you're 3-5 and need a ceiling, buy.
Deadline watch
Per Schefter and Rapoport, the Cardinals are finalizing a deal sending Jacoby Brissett to Baltimore, expected to close this weekend (The Big Lead). That's good news for Zay Flowers after this week. The Colts are already selling, and NBC names Minnesota as a dream spot for Jonathan Taylor (NBC Sports). If that happens, Jordan Mason's value takes a hit.
