Shedeur Sanders Starts: Harold Fannin Jr. Is the Browns Player to Want
With Deshaun Watson in the concussion protocol, Shedeur Sanders likely starts for Cleveland. Fantasy impact on Harold Fannin Jr., Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion.
Fantasy Footballin'
The pitch: Watson's out, Sanders is likely in, and one Browns pass-catcher gets a lot better.
Deshaun Watson self-reported concussion symptoms and went into the protocol Tuesday, and Shedeur Sanders is in line to start against New Orleans, with Dillon Gabriel as backup (NFL.com) (SI).
Harold Fannin Jr., TE: Sanders throws short, and that's where Fannin lives. In Sanders' six starts at the end of last season, Fannin was the TE4 in points per game, per SI. Sporting News adds that the Saints have had trouble covering tight ends (Sporting News). Start him.
KC Concepcion Jr. vs. Denzel Boston, WR: The experts split. SI likes the short-area guy, Concepcion, with Sanders. Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer prefers Boston as the big outside target this week. My lean: Boston in standard, Concepcion in deeper PPR. In dynasty, Concepcion's value is already rising (DynastyMath).
Dylan Sampson, RB: NFL.com has him as a top-five waiver target this week (NFL.com). He's the passing-down back.
Sanders himself: a superflex dart, not a one-QB starter.
