Jets Shake-Up: Garrett Wilson Out, Breece Hall Returning. Who Gets the Work?
Fantasy fallout for the Jets in Week 9: Garrett Wilson's concussion, Breece Hall's return and Braelon Allen, plus targets for Adonai Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr.
The pitch: The Jets lose their top receiver and get their top back back in the same week. Here's where the touches go.
Garrett Wilson: In the concussion protocol and day-to-day, per Aaron Glenn (ESPN). DraftSharks says he's unlikely to clear for Kansas City (DraftSharks). He's had 26.4% of the Jets' targets.
Who catches the ball:
- Adonai Mitchell: 7-142-1 on nine targets last week (RotoBaller).
- Omar Cooper Jr.: averaging 16.3 PPR points over his last three, per DynastyMath (DynastyMath).
- The tight ends and backs: they pick up the rest.
Both receivers are flex options this week.
The backfield: Aaron Glenn says Breece Hall is "trending in the right direction" after five missed games, and "both will play" when asked about Hall and Braelon Allen (ESPN). Allen has 504 rushing yards at 5.0 per carry in five starts, per ESPN, with an 84% snap share since Hall got hurt (FantasyPros). FantasyPros projects roughly a 60/40 split favoring Hall, but NBC Sports thinks Allen could stay the lead rusher with Hall on passing downs (NBC Sports).
- Redraft: Allen is a sell-high if someone pays for his last month.
- Hall: a risky RB2/flex this week, with a floor from passing downs. Expect his share to grow.
