Rest-of-Season QB Rankings (Week 9): Bryce Young Belongs in Tier 2
Week 9 rest-of-season fantasy QB rankings in tiers, with Lamar Jackson's fall, the Browns and Ravens QB mess, and superflex notes.
The pitch: Three QBs you never sit, a crowded second tier, and a lot of chaos underneath.
Order follows Footballguys' Week 9 rest-of-season projections (Footballguys). The takes are ours.
Tier 1: 1. Josh Allen, 2. Joe Burrow, 3. Brock Purdy. Footballguys projects all three for 210+ points the rest of the way. Nobody else clears 186.
Tier 2: 4. Caleb Williams, 5. Patrick Mahomes, 6. Drake Maye, 7. Trevor Lawrence, 8. Jared Goff, 9. Matthew Stafford, 10. Bryce Young. Mahomes actually has the highest rest-of-season projection in this group (Kansas City's Week 5 bye is already behind it, which helps). If you're picking one for the stretch, that matters.
Tier 3: 11. Tyler Shough, 12. Jayden Daniels, 13. Jordan Love, 14. Dak Prescott, 15. C.J. Stroud, 16. Bo Nix.
Streamers and superflex: Malik Willis, Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert sit in the low 20s. NFL.com has Willis as a top-15 waiver target this week (NFL.com).
Falling: Lamar Jackson is on IR after thumb surgery and could be done for the year (Yahoo). Footballguys calls him droppable in single-QB redraft (Footballguys). Deshaun Watson is in the concussion protocol (NFL.com), so Shedeur Sanders is a short-term superflex dart (SI).
Watch: Jacoby Brissett. The Ravens trade is expected to close this weekend, with him starting Week 10 (NFL.com) (The Big Lead). Superflex streamer, not a one-QB starter. More in our Ravens QB fallout post.
